Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 01.06.2026

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the website and the appliance repair services provided by Home Appliance Repair Technician (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By requesting service, booking an appointment, or using our website, you (“you” or the “customer”) agree to these Terms.

1. Services

We provide diagnosis and repair services for residential household appliances, including ovens, ranges, stoves, cooktops, dishwashers, washing machines, dryers, refrigerators, and freezers. We service the appliance brands and models listed on our website, subject to parts availability and the condition of the appliance.

2. Service Requests and Scheduling

You may request service through our website form or by contacting us directly. Submitting a request does not guarantee a specific appointment time until we confirm it with you. We make reasonable efforts to arrive within scheduled appointment windows, but arrival times are estimates and may be affected by prior jobs, traffic, weather, or other factors.

3. Diagnosis, Estimates, and Authorization

Our technician will inspect the appliance and provide an estimate of the cost to repair it before performing repair work. There is no diagnostic fee when you authorize and proceed with the recommended repair. We do not require any payment in advance to schedule service.
If, after diagnosis, you choose not to proceed with the repair, a diagnostic or trip charge may apply as disclosed to you at or before the time of service. Any such charge will be communicated to you before the technician’s visit or upon arrival, and you may decline service at that point.
We will not perform repair work that exceeds the estimate without your authorization. If additional issues are discovered during the repair, we will inform you and obtain your approval before proceeding with any additional work or cost.

4. Payment

Payment is due upon completion of the repair unless otherwise agreed in writing. We accept the payment methods listed at the time of service. You are responsible for the full cost of parts and labor as authorized. Returned payments or chargebacks may be subject to fees permitted by Texas law.

5. Parts

We use new or manufacturer-approved replacement parts unless you authorize otherwise. Certain parts may be special-order and non-returnable once ordered. Lead times for special-order parts are estimates and depend on the supplier and manufacturer. Parts we install are covered by our Appliance Repair Warranty and any applicable manufacturer warranty.

6. Customer Responsibilities

To allow us to perform service safely and effectively, you agree to:
• Provide safe, reasonable access to the appliance and a responsible adult (18 or older) present during the service visit,
• Accurately describe the problem and disclose any prior repairs or known issues with the appliance,
• Ensure the appliance is accessible and that the work area is reasonably clear, and
• Ensure utilities (power, water, gas as applicable) are available so the repair can be tested.

7. Right to Decline or Discontinue Service

We may decline or discontinue service if an appliance is unsafe to repair, has been damaged beyond economical repair, requires parts that are no longer available, has been subject to unauthorized prior repair, or if the work environment is unsafe for our technician. We may also decline service for abusive or threatening conduct.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by Texas law, Home Appliance Repair Technician is not liable for any incidental, consequential, indirect, or special damages arising from our services or from an appliance failure, including but not limited to food spoilage, water or property damage, loss of use, or lost income. Our total liability for any claim arising from our services is limited to the amount you paid us for the specific service giving rise to the claim. Some limitations may not apply to the extent prohibited by law, including under the Texas Deceptive Trade Practices–Consumer Protection Act.

9. Pre-Existing Conditions

Appliances that are aged, heavily worn, or already partially failed may have hidden or related defects. We are not responsible for the failure of components unrelated to the repair we performed, or for pre-existing conditions that become apparent during or after service.

10. Website Use

The content on our website is provided for general information only and does not guarantee any specific repair outcome, price, or availability. We may update our website, services, and these Terms at any time. Continued use of our website or services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

11. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute arising from our services or these Terms will be subject to the jurisdiction of the state courts located in Dallas County, Texas, unless otherwise required by law.

12. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.

13. Contact

Questions about these Terms may be directed to Home Appliance Repair Technician through the contact method provided on our website.
