Cancellation Policy
Last updated: 01.06.2026
This Cancellation Policy explains how to cancel or reschedule an appliance repair appointment with Home Appliance Repair Technician (“we,” “us,” or “our”).
1. No Advance Payment Required
We do not require any deposit or payment in advance to schedule a service appointment, and there is no diagnostic fee when you authorize and proceed with the recommended repair. A fee applies only in the limited late-cancellation and no-show circumstances described below.
2. Cancelling or Rescheduling
To cancel or reschedule your appointment, you must provide at least three (3) business hours’ notice before the start of your scheduled appointment window. For example, if your appointment is scheduled between 12:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m., you must notify us before 9:00 a.m. on the same day.
A service call can only be cancelled by speaking with a live agent, who will provide you with a cancellation code over the phone. A cancellation is not valid unless you have received this cancellation code. If you call outside of business hours, please do not leave a voicemail — voicemails do not count as valid notice of cancellation.
3. Late Cancellations and No-Shows
Failure to comply with this Cancellation Policy — including cancelling with less than three (3) business hours’ notice, failing to obtain a cancellation code from a live agent, or being unavailable when our technician arrives — will result in a reduced service call fee of $125. Payment of this fee must be made within twenty-four (24) hours of the original appointment time.
4. Cancellation by Us
We may need to reschedule an appointment due to circumstances beyond our control, including weather, vehicle or equipment issues, parts delays, or emergencies. If we must reschedule, we will notify you as soon as possible and offer the next available appointment. We are not responsible for any costs you may incur as a result of a rescheduled appointment.
5. Special-Order Parts
If your repair requires a special-order part that we have ordered at your authorization, that part may be non-returnable once ordered. If you cancel a repair after a special-order part has been ordered, you may be responsible for the cost of that part. We will inform you before ordering any non-returnable special-order part.
6. Cancelling a Repair After Work Has Begun
If you authorize a repair and then cancel after work has started, you are responsible for the cost of any labor performed and any parts installed or special-ordered up to the point of cancellation.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Cancellation Policy from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
8. Governing Law
This Cancellation Policy is governed by the laws of the State of Texas.
9. Contact
